A commemorative philatelic numismatic cover (PNC) produced by Mercury to celebrate the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. The cover features a single perforated UK postage stamp depicting the Union Jack flag and a commemorative label bearing the 80 ER birthday logo. These elements are cancelled with a black circular pictorial postmark dated 17th June 2006 from Buckingham Palace, London SW1. The cover design includes a photographic portrait of the monarch and the official 80th birthday logo. It features an inset commemorative crown coin, with the reverse visible showing the inscription 80 GLORIOUS YEARS and ONE CROWN. This item is a limited edition, numbered 21995 on the Mercury producer label at the lower right.
Condition report:
The cover is in excellent, uncirculated condition, with no evidence of creasing, staining, or corner wear. The coin is securely housed and appears well-preserved.
