Lot 177: A Set of Eight UK 2023 King Charles III Definitives Brilliant Uncirculated Coins

A set of eight United Kingdom coins comprising the first definitive coinage designs for King Charles III, issued by The Royal Mint in 2023. The collection includes denominations of 1 penny, 2 pence, 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, 50 pence, £1, and £2. The reverse designs feature a unified aesthetic with a repeating crown pattern on the left and naturalistic depictions of British flora and fauna on the right: a hazel dormouse (1p), a red squirrel (2p), an oak leaf and acorns (5p), a capercaillie (10p), a puffin (20p), an Atlantic salmon (50p), two bees (£1), and floral emblems representing the four nations of the UK (£2). The obverse of each coin carries the first definitive coinage portrait of King Charles III. Struck to Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) standard, the coins are presented in their original cream-coloured cardboard fold-out packaging.
