A UK silver crown, also known as a five shilling piece, featuring the Queen Victoria “Old Head” or “Veiled Head” coinage portrait. The obverse displays the left-facing effigy of the Queen wearing a coronet and veil, with the Latin inscription VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP. 1893
Condition report:
The coin shows heavy circulation wear across both faces, resulting in significant loss of detail to the Queen’s crown, veil, and facial features, as well as St. George’s torso and the horse\'s musculature. The surfaces exhibit dark, mottled toning and numerous contact marks, hairlines, and small scratches consistent with extensive handling. The rim shows minor bruising.
