A United Kingdom 2011 cupro-nickel 50 pence coin issued by The Royal Mint as part of the London 2012 Olympic Sports Collection. The heptagonal coin features the Basketball reverse design by Sarah Kyne and the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley on the obverse. The reverse includes the official London 2012 Olympic logo. The coin is presented in its original illustrated blue and orange Royal Mint card packaging featuring the Basketball title and London 2012 branding. This series comprises twenty-nine different designs representing the various sports of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Condition report:
The coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition with full original lustre and no visible handling marks. The original presentation card shows minor softening and shelf wear at the corners but remains intact and bright.
