Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A commemorative novelty banknote produced as anime memorabilia for the Saint Seiya franchise. The note is manufactured from a gold-toned, textured foil material designed for display and collection. The obverse features a central illustration of the Gold Saints, the series logo in Japanese characters, and a right-hand portrait of Athena within a decorative oval frame. The reverse side features a large portrait of the Aries Gold Saint, Mu, on the right, alongside a central zodiac wheel depicting the Aries ram. The background includes detailed scrollwork and fictional currency denominations of 100,000,000. Inscriptions include Nippon Ginko, Gold Saint, and Athena. The reverse displays Lucky 7777777, Nippon Ginko-ken, and the Japanese text for One Hundred Million Yen. A cartouche at the bottom centre specifies the Aries zodiac dates as 03/21 – 04/19.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent, uncirculated condition with no visible creases, folds, or tears. The gold foil surface is bright with no evidence of scuffing or loss of detail.
