An official UK five pound (£5) commemorative coin issued by The Royal Mint for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The coin is struck in .925 sterling silver with selective gold plating and a proof finish. The reverse features the London Skyline design with a border of stylised pictograms and a printed London 2012 logo. The obverse depicts the Fourth Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is housed in its original clear acrylic capsule and presented in a black velvet-lined display case. Includes the original certificate booklet titled The Official London 2012 Olympic Gold Plated £5 Silver Proof Coin and the black outer card sleeve featuring the slogan Be part of it! and imagery of Olympic athletes.
Condition report:
The coin is in uncirculated proof condition with full original lustre and no visible surface marks, wear, or toning. The presentation packaging and documentation are in excellent condition with minimal shelf wear to the outer card sleeve.
