Buyer's Premium:

A collection of Russian State Credit Notes (Gosudarstvennyy Kreditnyy Bilet) issued by the Provisional Government in 1917. The group comprises denominations of 1,000 Rubles and 250 Rubles. The 1,000 Ruble notes, frequently termed Duma notes, feature a central vignette depicting the Tauride Palace in Petrograd, which served as the seat of the State Duma. These notes are printed with a multicoloured palette including green, blue, and pink within intricate guilloche patterns and bear the text ГОСУДАРСТВЕННАЯ ДУМА. The 250 Ruble notes are pinkish-brown in colour and feature the Russian double-headed eagle superimposed over a swastika, a symbol utilised by the Provisional Government. All notes bear the printed signature of the Manager, Shipov, alongside various cashier signatures. Visible serial number prefixes include AA-002 and AB-122. The 1,000 Ruble denomination is identified as Pick number 37.

Condition report:

The banknotes are in circulated condition, generally falling within the Very Good to Fine range. The paper shows heavy vertical and horizontal centre folds, significant corner rounding, and edge wear. There is evidence of foxing and liquid staining, most notably on the 250 Ruble notes. The notes are not professionally graded.
