The reverse shows four crowned shields arranged in a cruciform pattern with the legend BR FRA ET HIB. The smaller hammered coin is identified as an issue of Elizabeth I from the legible reverse legend fragment E T H. The larger hammered coin features a long cross over a shield of arms, typical of 16th or 17th-century Tudor and Stuart coinage. All specimens exhibit surfaces consistent with environmental exposure or salvage, characterized by significant pitting and mineral encrustation.

Condition report:

Heavily circulated. All coins show advanced state of wear with significant loss of detail. Surfaces exhibit deep pitting, dark toning, and areas of encrustation. Edges on the hammered coins are irregular as struck.
