The obverse carries the fourth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is presented in its original official Royal Mint teal and magenta card packaging, printed with the text London 2012 sports collection and Shooting. This issue is one of 29 sport-themed 50p coins released to commemorate the London 2012 Olympic Games.
