This sterling silver openwork bar brooch features a central decorative motif of a basket filled with flowers set within a circular frame. The central element is flanked by scrolling ribbon-like shoulders that terminate in circular discs decorated with chased floral designs. The piece is constructed from 925 silver and utilizes a hinged pin with a C-clasp mechanism on the reverse. The reverse bears a full set of British hallmarks including the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and the lowercase date letter a corresponding to the year 1900.
