Lot 254: A Collection of International Banknotes from VE, CU, RU, and Other Issuers
A collection of international paper money comprising banknotes from several issuing authorities including VE, CU, NG, TZ, NP, RU, UG, CR, and TJ. The assembly includes Venezuelan Bolívares Soberanos dated 2018, notably a 50 Bolívares note (serial C83970059) with the portrait of Antonio José de Sucre and a 2 Bolívares note (serial N85550020) depicting Josefa Camejo. A Cuban 1 Peso note (Series 2016, serial GM-48 063695) featuring José Martí is present alongside a Nigerian 10 Naira note and a Tanzanian 1000 Shilingi note. Further notes include a Nepalese 5 Rupee note with a Himalayan yak vignette, a Russian 500 Ruble note from the 1997 series, a Tajikistan 1 Rubel note dated 1994, a Costa Rican 20 Colones note, and a Ugandan 50 Shillings note. The banknotes are printed on paper substrates and incorporate characteristic security features such as watermarks, microprinting, and security threads.
Condition report:
The notes are in circulated condition, generally grading from Fine (F) to Very Fine (VF). Typical signs of use are evident throughout the collection, including vertical centre folds, horizontal folds, soft corner creases, and light edge wear. No notes are encapsulated or graded by third-party services.
