The obverse displays a cluster of classical musical instruments including a harp, violins, and a horn, set against a frosted, textured background. The inscription VIENNA PHILHARMONIC is orientated vertically along the left edge. Centrally, the bar is marked with the Wessex Mint name and a circular logo containing the initials PM. The lower section identifies the weight and fineness. The bar features polished raised elements and borders. No serial number or assay mark is present.

Condition report:
The bar shows signs of minor handling with fine surface scratches visible on the raised polished lettering and borders. There is light dark toning and oxidisation present within the recessed textured areas of the background, most notably in the lower right quadrant.
