Two boxed toy vehicles manufactured in die-cast metal. The first is a Dinky Supertoys Leyland Octopus Tanker, model number 943, finished in a red livery. The tank features a central white band with the lettering ESSO PETROLEUM COMPANY, LTD. The vehicle is constructed with an eight-wheel chassis, red-painted metal hubs, rubber tyres, and includes a black ladder and catwalk assembly. It is presented in its original blue and white striped cardboard lid box and includes a non-original clear plastic protective tray. The second item is a Dinky Collection by Matchbox Bentley R Continental finished in metallic light blue paintwork. This model features chrome-effect bumpers, a front grille, and silver-toned hubcaps. It is housed in the original clear plastic display case with a printed cardboard base marked DINKY and a gold Matchbox trade mark label.
Condition report:
Both vehicles appear to be in excellent collector-grade condition. The Leyland Octopus tanker shows very little visible paint loss. Its original box is complete and structurally sound, showing only light shelf wear and minor scuffing at the corners. The Bentley R Continental model is in mint, as-new condition. The clear plastic display case for the Bentley shows some minor surface scuffing consistent with storage and handling.
