Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A 1988 United Kingdom one pound coin struck in nickel-brass with a Brilliant Uncirculated finish. The coin is housed in its original Royal Mint illustrated card presentation folder. The front of the folder features a textured heraldic design based on the Royal Arms, with a central blue circular medallion. This medallion is inscribed in gold-toned lettering with UNITED KINGDOM, 1988, £1 COIN, and BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED, topped by a cross symbol. Black ink overprints reading BP88 and 7/88 are present within the medallion area. The Royal Mint signature appears in script at the base of the folder. The entire assembly is contained within a clear plastic protective outer sleeve. This issue features the Royal Shield reverse design.
Condition report:
The presentation folder and coin appear to be in excellent original condition. The card shows no evidence of creasing, corner wear, or fading. The outer plastic sleeve is intact and clear.
