A United Kingdom silver crown (Five Shillings) dated 1889. The obverse features the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria with the legend VICTORIA D.G. BRITT. REG. F.D. The reverse displays the St George and Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci with the date in the exergue. Struck in .925 sterling silver at the London Mint with a milled edge.
Condition report:
Circulated. The coin shows significant wear across the relief, particularly on the high points of the portrait and the reverse figure. The surfaces exhibit heavy, uneven dark toning and areas of pitting.
