Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A collection of seven UK decimal proof coins and a commemorative token issued by the Royal Mint in 1982. The coins comprise cupro-nickel 50 pence, 20 pence, 10 pence, and 5 pence denominations, alongside bronze 2 pence, 1 penny, and 1/2 penny denominations. This set marks the first year of issue for the 20 pence coin and includes the now-demonetised 1/2 penny. The commemorative token is square-shaped, struck in cupro-nickel, and features a crown above the date 1982. All coins feature the Arnold Machin second portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The coins exhibit a proof strike finish with frosted relief details set against mirrored fields. The collection is housed within a clear plastic protective display case and a blue leatherette folding presentation wallet.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated proof condition as issued. The blue leatherette folding presentation wallet shows minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the exterior corners and edges.
