A UK £5 cupro-nickel coin from the Portraits of a Queen series issued by The Royal Mint in 2026. This Brilliant Uncirculated issue commemorates the third definitive coinage portrait of Elizabeth II. The reverse features a remastered version of the 1985–1997 portrait by Raphael Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl necklace against a background of radial lines. The reverse bears the inscriptions PORTRAITS OF A QUEEN and the dates 1985-1997. The obverse features the official coinage portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. The coin is housed in its original illustrated presentation folder and protective sleeve, which includes detailed historical information and technical specifications.
