The portrait is flanked by the country name in Afrikaans and English, inscribed as SUID-AFRIKA and SOUTH AFRICA, separated by a small diamond symbol. The reverse, designed by Coert Steynberg, depicts the national animal of South Africa, the springbok antelope, in mid-stride across the veld. The year of issue is split on either side of the animal as 20 22. The legend at the top reads KRUGERRAND, and the lower edge is marked with the metal specifications and face value as FYNSILWER 1 OZ FINE SILVER R1.
Weight: 1 Troy Ounce (approx. 31.1g).
Condition report:
The coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition with minor surface contact marks and light scratches visible in the fields, typical of bullion-grade coins. There are instances of light scattered toning and white surface residue, commonly referred to as milk spotting, on both the obverse and reverse faces. The reeded edge remains sharp and intact.
