A 2019 United Kingdom commemorative 50 pence coin celebrating the 160th anniversary of the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Struck in cupro-nickel, the heptagonal coin is presented in its original Change Checker card holder. The obverse depicts the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 2019. The reverse, designed by Stephen Raw, features a profile silhouette of Sherlock Holmes with a pipe and deerstalker hat. The design incorporates micro-text titles of famous stories, including The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Sign of the Four, A Study in Scarlet, and The Final Problem.
