A UK cupro-nickel five-pound commemorative coin struck by the Royal Mint in 1990 to mark the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The obverse features the third coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf, inscribed ELIZABETH II · DEI · GRATIA · REGINA · F · D · FIVE POUNDS. The reverse, designed by Leslie Durbin, depicts an intertwined monogram of the letter E beneath a crown, flanked by a Tudor rose and a thistle. The reverse inscription reads QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER with the commemorative dates 1900 and 1990. The coin is housed in its original illustrated Royal Mint presentation card.

Condition report:
The coin is in uncirculated condition with minor surface toning visible. The presentation card shows significant signs of wear and age, including a prominent horizontal crease across the centre and a partial tear to the internal plastic housing.
