A commemorative gilt-toned metal medal celebrating the 2003 Rugby World Cup victory, dedicated to player Jonny Wilkinson. The medal is part of the Legends of English Rugby series sponsored by Cable and Wireless (C&W). The obverse features a raised relief of a rugby player kicking a ball through goalposts, with the peripheral inscriptions ENGLAND WORLD CHAMPIONS and SYDNEY 2003. The reverse displays a central cross motif inscribed World Cup Victory, Jonny Wilkinson, and 2003, within an outer border reading LEGENDS OF ENGLISH RUGBY. The medal is presented in its original dark blue textured case. The interior lid is lined with cream satin and bears a gilt-stamped logo comprising a cross, the letters C&W, and the words LEGENDS OF ENGLISH RUGBY. The base is lined with dark blue velvet and includes a blue ribbon pull.

Condition report:
The medal appears to be in excellent condition with no visible scratches or tarnishing to the gilt surface. The presentation box displays minor age-related wear, including light discolouration to the satin lining.
