This set is a 2016 United Kingdom Beatrix Potter 50p Coin Collecting Pack, issued by the Royal Mint to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the author’s birth. The collection comprises five cupro-nickel 50-pence coins, each with a heptagonal shape and plain edge. The obverse of each coin displays the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 50 PENCE 2016. The reverse designs include specific portraits and characters: Beatrix Potter (1866-1943), Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, and Squirrel Nutkin. The coins are presented in an illustrated blue cardboard folder featuring technical specifications for each coin type.
