A UK 1992-1993 commemorative silver proof fifty pence coin struck to mark the United Kingdom presidency of the Council of Ministers and the completion of the Single European Market. This large-format heptagonal coin is composed of .925 sterling silver. The reverse, designed by Mary Milner Dickens, depicts a conference table with twelve chairs and stars, with the inscriptions 1992, UK, and 1993 at the top edge and 50 PENCE at the bottom. The coin is housed in its original clear protective capsule and is presented in a blue velvet-lined display case accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Condition report:
The coin is in uncirculated proof condition with mirrored fields and frosted devices. Significant iridescent blue and dark peripheral toning is visible on the reverse face. The protective capsule and presentation case are in good condition. No third-party grading is present.
