A Northern Bank five pounds sterling polymer banknote, issued in Northern Ireland and dated 8 October 1999. This note was issued as a commemorative piece for the millennium and is identified by the Pick catalogue number P-203a. The obverse features the issuer title Northern Bank, the denomination, and the signature of the Chief Executive, B.W. Price. The serial number MM0742026 appears twice, once in vertical black ink and once in horizontal red ink. The design incorporates a large stylised star and geometric patterns. The reverse displays a technical drawing of a space shuttle, a globe with longitudinal and latitudinal lines, and circuit board patterns. The note is printed on a polymer substrate and includes two clear security windows containing a multi-coloured circular motif.
Condition report:
Uncirculated. The banknote is in excellent condition with sharp corners, straight edges, and no visible folds, creases, or handling marks.
