This lot comprises a collection of assorted ceramic tableware and glassware. Included in the ceramic items is a cream-coloured teacup by Royal Winton, featuring relief-moulded floral decoration with polychrome enamelled details and a gilt-lined rim; the base is marked Royal Winton Grimwades MADE IN ENGLAND. There are two teacups decorated with red and white foliate transferware patterns. The stoneware and earthenware items include a tall cylindrical vessel with a mottled brown and cream glaze, a large oval white glazed serving dish, a selection of white glazed bowls and basins, and a handled sauce boat. A partial terracotta bowl is located at the base of the lot. The glassware includes a large, shallow pink pressed glass bowl with a scalloped petal rim and a radiating ribbed pattern on the underside, as well as several clear pressed glass circular dishes with a textured crystalline pattern.
Condition report:
The items exhibit signs of general household use, with surface dust and minor wear consistent with age and handling. A chip is visible on the rim of the large white oval ceramic dish. The pieces have not been individually tested for hairline cracks or fine abrasions.
