The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley (IRB) and includes the inscriptions SOLOMON ISLANDS, HALF DOLLAR, and 2.5 g FINE SILVER 999. The LEV diamond-shaped maker’s mark is visible at the base of the obverse. The reverse side commemorates Rio de Janeiro, featuring the Christ the Redeemer statue, a globe motif, and the inscriptions 2014 and RIO DE JANEIRO.
