A UK silver proof five-pound crown issued by the Royal Mint in 1993 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse features the Robert Elderton coronation anniversary design. The legend reads ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA FID DEF FIVE POUNDS. The piece is struck in .925 sterling silver with a proof finish, featuring frosted devices against mirrored fields. It is housed in the original red Royal Mint presentation case with a white satin-lined lid featuring the Royal Mint crest. Includes the original Certificate of Authenticity numbered 21016.

Condition report:
Uncirculated proof strike. The mirrored fields of the reverse exhibit patches of golden-brown toning and light surface spotting. The presentation box and certificate show minor age-related discolouration.
