A collection of British cupro-nickel commemorative crown coins issued to mark various royal and national milestones. The group includes 1977 Silver Jubilee crowns, featuring the equestrian portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and the floral emblems of the United Kingdom surrounding the coronation regalia on the reverse. One of the 1977 crowns is presented in a blue plastic case marked with the Trustee Savings Bank (TSB) logo. Also present are 1980 crowns commemorating the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, which feature a central sunburst motif and the inscription QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER AUGUST 4th 1980. The collection further contains a 1965 memorial crown for Sir Winston Churchill, bearing his profile on the reverse and the name CHURCHILL. The coins display the standard obverse and reverse designs for these specific issues.


Condition report:

The coins exhibit varying degrees of surface tarnish and atmospheric toning, particularly the 1965 Churchill crown which also bears a small white adhesive sticker marked with the numeral 1. The cupro-nickel surfaces show minor signs of handling and circulation wear. The Trustee Savings Bank presentation case displays light surface scuffing and scratches consistent with storage.
