Buyer's Premium:

A British milled copper halfpenny, attributed to the Soho Mint, Birmingham. The obverse features a right-facing draped and laureate bust of King George III, with the surrounding inscription GEORGIUS III D: G: REX. The reverse depicts the seated figure of Britannia facing left, holding an olive branch in her right hand and a trident in her left, with a shield bearing the Union flag resting at her side. The word BRITANNIA is inscribed along the upper circumference. The coin exhibits the characteristics of the 1806-1807 issue, though the date in the exergue is no longer legible due to wear. The piece shows evidence of significant circulation and natural patination.

Condition report:

The coin is in well-circulated condition, showing significant wear to the high points of the monarch\'s bust and the figure of Britannia. The surfaces exhibit pitting, numerous small scratches, and contact marks consistent with age and use. There are notable areas of green verdigris corrosion, particularly along the lower edge of the obverse and the right side of the reverse. The date and portions of the legend are illegible.
