A United Kingdom commemorative £2 coin issued by The Royal Mint to mark the London 2012 Handover to Rio, presented in its original illustrated fold-out presentation pack. The bi-metallic coin is composed of a nickel-brass outer ring and a cupro-nickel inner disc. The reverse features the Handover to Rio design by Jonathan Olliffe. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. The coin is mounted in a card folder featuring an aerial nighttime view of the London Olympic Stadium. The reverse of the pack includes an official London 2012 hologram sticker with serial number L65338967. This issue marks the official transition of the Olympic Games from London to Rio de Janeiro.
Condition report:
The coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition with full original luster. The card presentation folder remains in its original clear plastic protective sleeve and appears to be in an excellent, well-preserved state.
