A commemorative numismatic coin cover produced by Benham of Folkestone, Kent, titled The Queen Elizabeth II Silver Britannia Commemorative Coin Cover. The item features a collection of Royal Mail postage stamps of varying denominations, all depicting portraits of HM Queen Elizabeth II from different periods of her reign. These stamps are cancelled with two circular date stamps from Westminster, London SW1, dated 6th February 2015, to mark the anniversary of the Queen’s accession. The cancellations also feature the E II R royal cypher and the text 1952 – HER MAJESTY IN SERVICE – 2015. Centrally mounted is a silver Britannia two-pound coin, displaying the obverse with the Queen’s profile and the transcribed legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 2 POUNDS. To the left is a large photographic portrait of the Queen. The cover is presented in a black folder that includes an integrated Certificate of Authenticity featuring the royal cypher and the dates 1952-2015.
Condition report:
The cover and stamps are in excellent condition. The circular date stamps are clear and well-struck. The silver coin appears bright and well-preserved within the mount, showing no signs of toning. The black presentation folder exhibits minimal signs of handling and shelf wear.
