This oval ceramic platter is produced by Baroness Hand Painted China, manufactured by Staffordshire Craftsmen in the United Kingdom. The central well features a detailed hand-painted still-life study of fruit, including apples, peaches, clusters of purple grapes, cherries, and blackberries, set against a mottled, impressionistic background of earthy and pastel tones. The painting is signed A. Mellor to the lower right of the composition. The platter is of an oval form with a scalloped edge and a gilded rim. The underside bears a green printed factory mark consisting of a crown with the text Baroness Hand Painted China and by Staffordshire Craftsmen.

Condition report:
The platter is in generally good condition. There is a visible surface scratch or graze to the lower-centre foreground of the painted decoration. There is minor wear to the gilded rim and some light shelf-wear to the unglazed foot rim on the reverse. No chips, cracks, or professional repairs are evident from the images.
