This silver bullion round was produced by the Scottsdale Mint. The obverse features the mint’s distinctive stylised lion’s head logo wearing a crown, set against a background of radial lines emanating from the centre. The reverse depicts a large central 1/2 fraction positioned above the word OUNCE, with the radial line pattern repeated. Literal transcriptions of the text on the reverse include SCOTTSDALE MINT at the top and ONE HALF OF A TROY OUNCE 999 FINE SILVER at the bottom. The round is finished with a reeded edge and a high-lustre surface.
