A pair of colour offset lithograph prints on paper after original illustrations by Ronald Embleton (British, 1930–1988), depicting nostalgic Edwardian-era street scenes of children at play. The first print, titled Hi Jimmy Knacker in the lower centre margin, shows a group of boys engaged in a leapfrog-style game while girls play with a hoop and stick in the foreground. The second print, titled Eggy Peggy, features girls playing a traditional circle game with boys playing marbles in the background. Both prints bear the facsimile signature Ronald Embleton in the lower-left area of the image. The works are housed in matching dark-stained wooden frames with decorative gilt-moulded inner slips.
Frame width: approximately 320mm.
Condition report:
Both prints exhibit visible foxing, particularly in the lower margins and background areas, along with general paper toning. The frames show light surface wear and minor scuffing.
