This vintage two-piece loungewear set consists of a Chinese-style jacket and matching slippers, presented in its original cardboard box. The garment is constructed from light blue synthetic satin with a high-sheen finish. The jacket features a mandarin collar and contrasting maroon piping at the neck and cuffs. It is decorated with two large, mirror-image embroidered dragons on the chest in gold-tone, red, and black threads. Two vertical bands of white machine-made lace trim run down the front of the garment. The jacket is fastened with four pairs of maroon fabric-knotted frog closures. The matching slippers are crafted from blue satin with white faux-fur collars and small embroidered dragon motifs on the toes. This set is characteristic of souvenir or export loungewear produced in Hong Kong or China for the Western market during the mid-20th century. No manufacturer or size labels are visible.
