A vintage set of Rondo circular playing cards manufactured by Waddingtons of Leeds, England. The cards are constructed from printed cardstock and feature standard English suit patterns on the faces, adapted for the circular format. Visible card indices include the Jack of Diamonds, Ten of Diamonds, Eight of Clubs, and Nine of Clubs. The reverse of each card is decorated with a repeating pink floral vine motif against a green background. The set is contained within its original red textured paper-covered cardboard presentation box, which includes a gold-toned foil interior tray. The lid is printed with the manufacturer name Waddingtons vertically on the left and the brand name Rondo in gold-coloured cursive script above the text Circular Playing Cards.
Condition report:
The set is in good vintage condition. The cards exhibit minor signs of handling and light use. The original presentation box shows light shelf wear, including some rubbing and softening at the corners and edges.
