The covers are housed within two blue slip-cased binders and protected by clear plastic sleeves. The collection includes various commemorative issues including the 1969 50th Anniversary of First Flight England to Australia, 1969 Gandhi Centenary, 1969 Post Office History & Activities, 1969 Christmas, 1972 Royal Silver Wedding, and 1973 European Communities. The stamps comprise both pre-decimal and decimal denominations, including 5d, 9d, 1s, 1/6, 1/9, 3p, 5p, and 20p values. Cancellations include circular date stamps and pictorial cancels from Sheffield, Hull, and the Philatelic Bureau in Edinburgh. The majority of covers are addressed to a single recipient.
Condition report:
Good collected condition. Covers show light toning consistent with age. Cancellations are clear and tie stamps to the covers. Binders and slipcases exhibit minor external shelf wear.
