A collection of UK bronze pennies spanning the reigns of King George V, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II, dating from 1926 to 1967. The set is presented in a three-panel card Coin Collector’s Folder (Collection No. 1). The coins feature standard obverse royal portraits for their respective eras with Latin legends. The folder distinguishes between obverse types, including Type I (1937-1948) and Type II (1949-1951) for George VI, and Type II (1961-1966) for Elizabeth II. The reverse design for all examples is the seated figure of Britannia with trident and shield, the legend ONE PENNY, and the date in the exergue. The collection includes various dates, though vacancies are noted for the 1932 and 1949 issues. The folder includes printed mintage figures for each year. All coins have plain edges.
Condition report:
The coins exhibit a range of conditions consistent with age and circulation. Earlier George V issues show significant wear to the high points and dark, even toning. Later issues, particularly from the 1960s, retain significant original mint luster. Typical surface marks, small scratches, and light oxidation are present throughout. The folder shows surface wear, edge scuffing, and foxing to the interior card.
