A student-grade tenor trombone by Swallow, manufactured in Taiwan. The instrument is constructed from yellow brass with a clear lacquer finish and features white metal inner slides, likely nickel or chrome-plated. The bell is stamped with the maker mark Swallow in a stylized script above the text Made in Taiwan. The instrument includes a slide lock. It is housed in a black hard-shell carrying case with a tan-coloured plush-lined interior and metal latches. No mouthpiece is present with the lot.
Condition report:
The instrument is in used condition with visible signs of wear and age. There is significant lacquer loss, thinning, and wear throughout the body, most notably on the bell and slide sections. Surface scratches, minor pitting, and oxidation are visible on the brass. The inner slides show some discoloration and oxidation, which may impede smooth operation. The case shows external scuffing and wear but remains structurally sound. The instrument has not been play-tested.
