The obverse of the rectangular bar features stamped inscriptions including valcambi above suisse, the weight 1 g, and the metal type fine silver. The purity is specified as 999,0. At the bottom is a rectangular assay mark featuring a circular logo containing the letters CHI next to the words ESSAYEUR FONDEUR. The bar has a matte, textured surface finish and beveled edges. No serial number is present on this face.
