A 1987 United Kingdom Brilliant Uncirculated coin collection issued by the Royal Mint. The set is housed in its original illustrated tri-fold cardboard presentation folder, featuring historical and technical information regarding the English oak. The collection consists of seven decimal coins: a nickel-brass one pound, cupro-nickel fifty pence, twenty pence, ten pence, and five pence, and bronze two pence and one penny pieces. The reverse designs include the oak tree on the one pound (designed by Leslie Durbin), Britannia on the fifty pence, a crowned Tudor rose on the twenty pence, a crowned lion on the ten pence, a crowned thistle on the five pence, the Prince of Wales’s feathers on the two pence, and a crowned portcullis on the one penny. The obverse of each coin features the third decimal portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf.

Condition report:

The coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition, retaining full original mint lustre. The cardboard presentation folder exhibits minor age-related foxing and light spotting on the interior white panels, with some very light shelf wear to the outer edges.
