A United Kingdom 1993 silver proof five pound crown issued by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin features the Robert Elderton reverse design and the Raphael Maklouf obverse portrait. The reverse legend reads ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA FID DEF and FIVE POUNDS. The coin is struck in sterling silver with a proof finish. It is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule and presented in its original red Royal Mint case of issue. Accompanied by the original Certificate of Authenticity, numbered 24999.
Condition report:
The coin is in excellent proof condition with sharply frosted motifs and highly reflective, mirrored fields. No visible signs of toning, spotting, or handling wear are present. The presentation case and certificate remain in very good condition.
