A glazed porcelain figural group depicting an eighteenth-century courtly musical scene in the Rococo style. To the left, a lady is seated in an upholstered chair decorated with pink floral sprays, her hands positioned as if playing a large harp. To the right, a gentleman in a cobalt blue frock coat and patterned breeches sits holding an open book, leaning against the harp. The figures are set upon a single, shaped base with scrolled decorative elements. The decoration includes hand-painted polychrome enamel floral sprigs on the lady’s dress and chair, rich cobalt blue glaze on the man’s coat, the chair, and the central pillar of the harp, and gilt highlights to the clothing, harp, and base. No factory marks or model numbers are visible.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition. Visible surface dust and grime are present in the crevices, particularly around the base and feet. No chips, cracks, or restorations were observed during visual inspection.
