A collection of vintage die-cast toy vehicles primarily consisting of models from the Lledo Days Gone series and similar Matchbox Models of Yesteryear. The items represent various early-to-mid 20th-century British commercial and public transport vehicles. Construction comprises die-cast metal bodies with plastic chassis, wheels, and interior details.
The collection features various promotional liveries including Pickfords Removals & Storage No. 3, Walkers Crisps, Matthew Mansel & Son Contractors Cardiff with a barrel load, Peek Frean & Co’s London Biscuits, Kemp’s Biscuits of Real Goodness, Ovaltine, Dunlop Tyres, Van Houten’s Cocoa, Spillers Poultry Foods, and Shell. Public and emergency services are represented by a red London double-decker bus with Best of British and Union Jack decoration, a red fire engine, and a vintage black limousine or taxi. Also included is a small yellow open-topped vehicle and one original Lledo Days Gone yellow window box featuring County Show graphics.
Condition report:
The vehicles are in generally good vintage condition, exhibiting minor signs of play wear such as light paint chipping to some edges and surfaces. There is evidence of accumulated dust from storage. Most items are unboxed and loose. The single included Lledo window box shows some age-related wear, including creasing and minor tears to the cardboard. Wheels and axles appear to be in functional, free-rolling order.
