A collection of English earthenware tea service items decorated in the traditional Blue Willow pattern. The pieces feature classic underglaze blue transfer-printed chinoiserie scenes depicting pagodas, bridges, and weeping willow trees. Included in the collection is a teapot with a fitted lid featuring a scalloped rim and a gilded finial, a large open slop or sugar bowl, several teacups with loop handles, a stack of saucers, and a stack of tea plates. The underside of the pieces features an impressed circular mark reading MADE IN ENGLAND. This pattern and form are closely associated with Staffordshire potteries such as Churchill and Alfred Meakin.
Condition report:
The items exhibit typical signs of age and use. There is noticeable wear to the gilding on the teapot finial. Some pieces show minor surface staining and fine crazing consistent with earthenware production. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible upon inspection.
