A 1922 US silver Peace Dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The obverse features the Peace Dollar obverse design with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date 1922. A small AF monogram for designer Anthony de Francisci is visible near the base of the neck. The reverse displays the Peace Dollar reverse design with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. The coin is composed of 0.900 fine silver. This 1922 issue represents the highest mintage year for the Peace Dollar series.
Condition report:
Circulated. Significant wear is present on the high points of the relief, consistent with a Very Fine grade. The fields and devices show numerous contact marks, hairlines, and scratches. The original mint lustre is muted across both surfaces. Minor surface toning and small rim nicks are observable.
