A US one dollar silver coin, Peace type, dated 1922. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The coin is composed of .900 fine silver and .100 copper. It features the Peace Dollar obverse design with the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRVST, and the Peace Dollar reverse design with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. The designer Anthony de Francisci’s monogram AF is visible below the truncation of the neck on the obverse.
Condition report:
Circulated. Visible wear is present on the high relief areas of the design, particularly Liberty\'s hair and the eagle\'s plumage. Both the obverse and reverse fields exhibit numerous contact marks, hairlines, and small scratches consistent with commercial circulation. The coin retains natural surfaces with no evidence of harsh cleaning.
