A United Kingdom Proof Coin Collection issued by the Royal Mint in 1985. This collection of proof-quality coins comprises issues struck in nickel-brass, copper-nickel, and bronze. Reverse designs include the Welsh leek, seated Britannia, a crowned Tudor rose, a crowned lion, a crowned thistle, the Prince of Wales feathers, and a crowned portcullis. The collection is housed in its original dark blue leatherette folding presentation case with a white lining and a central plaque inscribed Elizabeth R 1985. A certificate of authenticity from the Royal Mint is included.
Condition report:
Coins remain in proof condition as issued, showing mirrored fields and sharp devices. The presentation case and certificate of authenticity exhibit age-related toning and some foxing to the white interior lining.
