This lot comprises two vintage portable electronic devices including a transistor radio and a microcassette recorder. The first item is an ITT KB Junior portable transistor radio. It features a cream plastic housing with a red plastic-sleeved metal carry handle and a perforated silver-tone metal speaker grille. The unit is fitted with a horizontal linear slide rule dial indicating bands for Long Wave (L.W) and Medium Wave (M.W). Station markers include BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC 3, Luxembourg, London, Athlone, and Allouis, along with regional UK markers for West Wales, Scotland, and Midland. The dial is marked MADE IN HONG KONG. The second item is an Olympus Pearlcorder S713 handheld microcassette voice recorder. The device is constructed from silver-coloured plastic and includes an integrated speaker, tape counter, and VCVA (Variable Control Voice Actuator) function. It is marked OLYMPUS vertically on the left and Pearlcorder S713 MICROCASSETTE RECORDER beside the speaker. A microcassette is currently housed within the tape compartment.
Condition report:
Both items show signs of age-related wear and use. The radio displays scuffing to the plastic casing and handle. The recorder shows minor surface marks and scratches. Both units have small adhesive lot or price labels attached to the front (1061 and 1991). Both devices are sold as untested for functionality.
