A collection of United Kingdom commemorative first day covers issued by the Royal Mail between 1979 and 1982. The lot includes commemorative issues such as Direct Elections to the European Assembly (1979, SG 1083-1085), Horseracing (1979, SG 1086-1089), and British Textiles (1982, SG 1187-1190), alongside an Intelpost service launch cover (1980). Each cover features a full set of commemorative stamps with circular date stamp cancellations from the Philatelic Bureau, Edinburgh. The covers are typed-addressed to a recipient in Sheffield and are presented in clear protective sleeves within ring-bound albums. The collection features various denominations including 9p, 10 1/2p, 11p, 13p, 15 1/2p, 19 1/2p, 26p, and 29p.
